Quality Control and Documentation
Quality requirements should be defined before production. For custom packaging, the approved structure, material, artwork and sample direction form the practical inspection reference.
Before Production
- Confirm dimensions, structure and insert fit
- Review artwork, logo position and print direction
- Confirm material and surface finish
- Record packing and labeling requirements
During Production
Checks can cover cutting and creasing alignment, print consistency, lamination or decorative finish, glue strength, box forming, insert placement and assembly.
Final Inspection
Final checks can include appearance, dimensions, function, quantity, packing protection and consistency against the approved specification.
Documentation
Documentation availability depends on the selected material, supplier, product and destination. If a test report, material declaration or other document is required, list it in the project brief so applicability can be reviewed before quotation and production.
Do not assume that one document applies to every material or finished product. Order-specific requirements should be confirmed in writing.
