Rigid paper boxes are widely used for luxury packaging because they offer stronger structure, premium presentation, and a better unboxing experience. The production process requires coordination between structure, paperboard, printed paper, finishing, forming, assembly, and inspection.
Step 1: Structure and Dieline Confirmation
The buyer and factory confirm size, box style, opening method, insert layout, artwork, material, and packing needs before sampling or production.
Step 2: Material and Printed Sheet Preparation
Greyboard, coated paper, kraft paper, specialty paper, printed sheets, covering paper, inserts, and accessories are prepared according to the final specification.
Step 3: Surface Finishing
Rigid box projects can include matte lamination, gloss lamination, soft-touch finish, foil stamping, embossing, debossing, spot UV, and textured paper covering.
Step 4: Forming, Gluing, and Assembly
Depending on the box structure, production may use automatic feeding, gluing, forming, conveyor transfer, and manual detail assembly.
Step 5: Quality Control and Packing
Finished packaging is checked for structure alignment, glue strength, color consistency, edge finish, logo position, insert fit, quantity, and carton protection.
